Joe Dwyer, JD, CFP®
Wealth Management Advisor I Partner
Joe Dwyer is a Wealth Management Advisor and Partner at OakBridge Wealth Management. Joe has a diverse background in finance and law, fostering a rich tapestry of experience in high-net-worth financial planning with risk and wealth management solutions.
Joe began his academic journey at UW-Madison, where he successfully earned his degree in finance. His pursuit of advanced education sent him to the doorsteps of our nation's most outstanding leaders and law professionals — Washington, DC. From there, he delved into the world of law and international affairs, eventually graduating cum laude from American University's law school.
Driven by a passion for global insights, Joe embarked on a transformative journey, spending a significant period in the West Bank, Israel/Palestine as part of his international student education program. His experiences abroad shaped his perspective and understanding of international dynamics, and later influenced his interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
Upon returning to Wisconsin, Joe launched his career as an attorney; however, his career direction changed when an opportunity presented itself with the Ayco Company, a Goldman Sachs subsidiary. Joe's transition to financial advising began there, with an intensive six-week training program in comprehensive financial and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals.
Eventually, his professional journey brought him to Madison, Wisconsin, where he joined a Madison-based Ameriprise group before finding his niche at Northwest Mutual in May 2015. Today, Joe serves as a Partner and Wealth Management Advisor at OakBridge Wealth Management.
Offering financial planning and wealth management services, Joe specializes in formulating intricate financial strategies for families and individuals. He uses his experience and creative problem-solving skills to structure flexible and efficient financial plans covering cash flow, savings, and retirement planning with a single mission — to help his clients pursue a confident financial future while maintaining a flexible, balanced, and efficient approach.
When Joe isn't helping his clients pursue a strong financial future, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cally, and their four young children — Lincoln, Chloe, Noah, and Oakleigh. He is also actively involved in community-driven activities, including coaching Lincoln's and Chloe’s soccer teams and leading family escapades to Big Sky Montana for invigorating summer hikes and winter skiing adventures. His diverse interests span from video and board games to an annual paintball event and weekly soccer games at Keva.
